Cromwell Man Injured After Being Ejected From Vehicle

A Cromwell man survived being ejected from his vehicle during a two-car crash north of Goshen Sunday morning. Police say 22-year old Austin Yoder a bruised hip, a small cut on his head and multiple bruises. The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department says Yoder was driving behind a second vehicle driven by 23-year old Dakota Jones of Goshen and an Amish buggy. Investigators say Yoder tried to pass the vehicle and buggy on a double-yellow line going up a hill and side-swiped the vehicle as he tried to get back into the right-hand lane. Yoder was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, and was ejected after his car left the road and hit multiple mailboxes. He was cited for was cited for speeding, improper passing, seatbelt violation and reckless driving.
