The death of 20-year old Grace College student Bethany Nesbitt was determined following an autopsy.

Kosciusko County Coroner Anthony Ciriello says the cause of death has been ruled
natural due to a pulmonary embolus that had not been previously detected. Pulmonary embolism is blockage in one of the pulmonary arteries in your lungs.

Ciriello said while COVID did play a role in contributing to the death, it was not caused by
COVID.

Nesbitt was found dead in her residence hall on Friday morning at 10 AM.
