La Porte officials are re-thinking local laws after two young children were bitten by the same dog on back-to-back days. The first incident happened on Saturday when a 9 year old girl was playing in the yard, the dog got out, and started to lick her face and then when the girl got scared someone rushed in and the dog bit her. The bite required 11 stitches and family member say she may need plastic surgery. The next day it happened again this time while out on a walk with a family member as a 7 year old boy bent over the one year old pit bull. The South Bend Tribune reports that Animal Control has since taken possession of the dog. Officials say they want to review laws that dictate when dogs should be euthanized.
