Drug arrest made in Claypool, more could be coming

A 34-year old Claypool man was arrested last Friday following a tip to Claypool Police about possible drug activity in the area.

Claypool Town Marshal Ben Sanders says the tip about the activity was at a home in the 200-block of East Calhoun Street, with the tips coming from several people who were stopped for traffic violations in that area.

The information led to a search warrant of the home, which revealed drug paraphernalia, marijuana, methamphetamine, syringes and pills.

Arrested was Christopher Spangle, and Sanders said the investigation is ongoing with more arrests possible in the future.

Claypool Police Department was assisted by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office SWAT
Team, Narcotics Enforcement Team of Kosciusko County (NET 43), Silver Lake Police
Department, Lutheran EMS, and the Kosciusko County Prosecuting Attorneys Office.

Anyone with information as to the usage or distribution of narcotics is urged to contact
