One person was killed in a motorcycle crash last night in Allen County. A large group of motorcyclists were on the Baer Field Thruway when two of the drivers sped away from the pack. One of those motorcyclists crashed at Lower Huntington Road near Fogwell Parkway. Officers say that person died at the scene. Department spokesman Adam Griffith says the officer tried to stop the motorcyclist, but soon broke off the chase as the motorcycle continued speeding away. A few minutes later officers found the motorcycle had gone off a road about a mile away. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene southwest of the city. Before the crash, police believe the motorcycle was likely travelling more than 120 miles per hour.
