On August 19, 2020, Warsaw Community Schools was made aware of a COVID positive student at WCHS/WACC. WCS has established COVID Protocols of notification regarding a positive test for the Warsaw Community School district.

Kosciusko County Health Department made contact with families of students of close contact exposure (within 6 ft. for 15 continuous minutes). Dr. Hoffert sent out an email today to staff in all schools. In the future, only schools affected will receive that notification. Troy Akers and Ronna Kawsky sent a letter to all WCHS/WACC parents by email today. In the future, only the affected school building principal will email parents registered at their individual school. Parents who did not receive an email from WCS today are asked to go into the Power School portal and update their email contact information.

Warsaw Community Schools will continue to work with KCHD to determine what actions and notifications are necessary. WCS is including the letter that was sent out today and will be used in future cases.
