A former Warsaw Community Schools finance manager and his wife are facing burglary, fraud and other charges involving a casino in Illinois. According to the “Post Tribune of Merrillville,” Rande and Virginia Thorpe are accused of taking part in a ring that digitally manipulated video keno machines. Thorpe resigned as the finance manager of Warsaw Community Schools in July 2004.
