Four Hurt In Thursday Crash At South Buffalo, West Prairie

Four people were injured and taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle accident in Warsaw Thursday morning.

According to Ryan Coble, detective at the Warsaw Police Department, WPD responded to an accident at 10:13 a.m. at the intersection of South Buffalo and West Prairie streets, Warsaw.

Patricia Stroup, 40, Warsaw, was traveling northbound on Buffalo Street. Jaya Panicker, 17, Warsaw, was traveling eastbound on West Prairie Street. Both believed they had the right of way.

Witnesses stated Stroup disregarded a red light.

Stroup and a passenger, Kaitlyn Stout, age and address unavailable, were extricated from Stroup’s vehicle by Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory.

Taylor Shoaf, 18, Warsaw, was a passenger in Panicker’s vehicle and also was injured.

Stroup and Panicker both complained of neck pain. Both drivers and both passengers were taken to the hospital via EMS.

The estimated damage is $2,500 to $5,000.
