The next free fishing day is Saturday, May 19.
That means Hoosiers can fish public waters that day without a license or trout stamp.
The Department of Natural Resources says its a great opportunity for the whole family to learn to fish, though children ages 17 and under never need a license to do so.
After Saturday, the final two free fishing days this year are June 2 and June 3.
