FRIDAY STATE COVID UPDATE: Indiana tops 10K positive cases, testing ramps up

Indiana broke the 10,000 mark in the amount of positive COVID-19 cases in their Friday update at testing ramps up.

The Indiana State Department of Health had 642 new cases reported to bring the state total up to 10,154 and 42 additional deaths were reported, bringing the state total up to 519.

The number of new tests reported was 3,718 which State Health Commissioner Dr. Kristina Box said was the most the state has seen on a single day. The total amount of testing that has been completed is 54,785.

On a local breakdown, Kosciusko County had no new cases to report, keeping the county total at 22. Elkhart County reported seven new cases and now have 130 total. Noble (29) and Marshall Counties (22) had two additional cases each, while Fulton (4), Whitley (14) and Wabash (9) Counties each reported one new cases.
