A judge has issued a gag order during a pretrial conference Tuesday for the upcoming trial for a woman who hit and killed three kids at a bus stop in Fulton County last year.

Tuesday’s conference was the last milestone before trial begins next month. According to the judge, Tuesday’s gag order is to try and reduce publicity leading up to the trial.

The trial for Alyssa Shepard will still begin on October 15th. She faces five counts, three of those for reckless homicide. Shepard could face more than 21 years in prison if she is found guilty.
