Though same sex couples still can't legally marry in Indiana, some of them hope the ruling by a federal appeals panel is another step toward marriage equality. The panel ruled Thursday that Indiana could not bar same sex couples from getting married. However, Attorney General Greg Zoeller issued a statement saying he's asking for the U.S. Supreme Court to delay the 7th Circuit‘s ruling pending an appeal. Ken Falk, legal director for the ACLU of Indiana says he is happy about they ruling, but is disappointed that same sex marriages cannot take place while the appeals process is underway.
