Golf Fundraiser For Cancer

The golf committee of the Cancer Care Fund of Kosciusko County has finalized details for this year’s fundraising tournament. Entry forms have been mailed out to local businesses and individuals. The Steve Dodd’s charitable event will be held at Tippecanoe Lake Country Club in Leesburg Sept. 8 at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. It is open to anyone who wants to enjoy a round of golf on a the course and support the CCF mission statement of reducing the challenges facing cancer patients and their families by financially assisting them during their fight. All net funds raised from the event are administered directly to residents of Kosciusko County and are used for needs like food, rent, mortgages, utilities, prescription medications, insurance, wigs, travel to treatment and other expenses incurred during their battle with cancer. Team entry includes breakfast for the morning players, lunch for all players, hors d’oeuvres after golf for the night players, prizes, hole-in-one contest on all par threes, golf fees and golf cart and a player gift bag with promotional items and snacks from area businesses.
