Goshen Woman Pleads Guilty To Several Charges Including Robbery

A Goshen woman accused of driving the getaway car for a robbery with her 3-year-old son in the back seat has pleaded guilty to two of the charges against her. 23 year-old Christina Theriot was arrested in January on charges of robbery, assisting a criminal and neglect of a dependent after police say she drove a getaway car for her ex-boyfriend Joseph Lee after Lee robbed a Goshen Dollar General back in August. According to court documents, Theriot drove Lee to the store on Chicago Ave., where she had worked, therefore Theriot knew a manager would be taking a cash deposit to the bank. Police say Lee got away with about $6,000 and met Theriot, who was waiting for him with her 3-year-old son in the car. Her sentencing hearing is scheduled for mid-May. One month after that incident, Lee was shot and killed in the Washington Gardens apartment complex by seven Elkhart police officers as they tried to arrest him on a warrant for shooting a teenager in Mishawaka.
