Grace College alumna Dr. Susan Waller will appear on the popular game show Jeopardy! on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Waller, who graduated from Grace in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts in English, went on to earn a graduate degree from Hunter College and a master’s and doctorate degree in education from Widener University.  She is a longtime resident of Chester, Penn., where she works at a local school, The Christian Academy, as the media center specialist and director of curriculum and professional development.

Waller says she has watched Jeopardy! for at least 25 years.  After a two-year application process which included online testing and a live audition, a long-time dream came true for Weller when she was invited to be a contestant on Jeopardy!  She and her husband, John, flew to Los Angeles, Calif., for the taping of her show on March 5.

Waller will be taking on James Holzhauer, who won for the 26th time Thursday night.

Dr. Bill Katip, president of Grace College, said “We are very proud that one of our own has earned a spot on quite possibly the best game show in America!  To our knowledge, Dr. Weller is the first Grace graduate to be a contestant on Jeopardy!, so I know all of the Grace family will be cheering her on.”
