Grace College is pleased to welcome noteworthy speakers to campus this month, including Dr. Freddy Cardoza, Lonnie Anderson, and Ray Chang. Each will speak in chapel, which takes place every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10:30 – 11:20 a.m. in the Manahan Orthopaedic Capital Center, 610 Wooster Rd., Winona Lake.

Dr. Freddy Cardoza, the new dean of Grace Theological Seminary and the School of Ministry Studies, will speak in chapel on Thursday, March 21.  Dr. Cardoza comes to Grace with more than 20 years of local church ministry and higher education experience.  Most recently, Cardoza ministered at Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, Calif., while serving as chair of the Christian Education programs at Talbot School of Theology at Biola University. Dr. Cardoza’s message for campus on March 21 is entitled “Fear(less): Going from Fearful to Fearless.”

Lonnie Anderson, senior pastor of the Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church in Kokomo, Ind., will return to Grace to speak on Friday, March 22.  Anderson has pastored at Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church since 2002.  He published “Partnering with Pastors and Church Leaders: Closing the Back Door” in 2016, a guide to help pastors retain new members in the local church.  Pastor Anderson will preach from Genesis 22 on “Origins” – the campus theme this year.

Ray Chang, ministry associate for discipleship at Wheaton College, will speak in chapel on Thursday and Friday, March 28 and 29. Chang leads several small group ministries with more than 1,000 students on Wheaton’s campus, and serves on the diversity and evangelism committees. Chang is a world traveler, speaker and writer.  He will present on Christian living and community from John 17 and Luke 10.

“The public is invited to join the Grace community as we listen to these and other speakers who will challenge and inspire us,” said Brent Mencarelli, dean of chapel and community life at Grace. He added, “Chapel is a time to come together for worship, reflection and critical thinking together.”
