Hoosier Lakes Radio Club providing free weather alert radios for those in need

The Hoosier Lakes Radio Club provides training and activities for amateur radio operators.

One of these activities is the Winter Field Day which will be held from 12:00 pm Jan. 28, through 12:00 pm Jan. 29 in the Marsh parking lot in Warsaw.  The public is invited to stop by to see the skills of these “Hams” as they talk to people Around the World using equipment that is “Off the Grid”.

As an added bonus this year, they will have up to 100 Weather Alert Radios to program and give away on Saturday between 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm to those that cannot afford to purchase one for themselves.

The only stipulations are, you must live in Kosciusko County, and you must bring 3 AA batteries and give us your Name, Address and Phone Number.
