HopLore Brewing is closer to opening up along West Market Street on the west end of downtown Warsaw.

On Monday, members of the Warsaw Community Development Corporation gave the Leesburg-based brewery a $5,000 façade grant that will be used to finish up the improvements outside of the building.

President and CEO of the Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce Rob Parker said the investment into HopLore will be big for the downtown area along with the other improvements coming in, citing the future changes to the old Owen’s building and the new addition of the Gateway Grove housing development on South Union Street. The addition of the new bike trail is also expected to be big as it is expected to go right in front of HopLore’s location and it is said to be a possible site of another bike sharing rack.

Co-owner Stefan King said the Warsaw location will turn into HopLore’s main production site, however the Leesburg location will still be the place to go for events and meals, while the Warsaw location will be more in the style of a “tasting room,” offering beer and some light food such as charcuterie boards.

The addition of a new location is allowing HopLore to nearly triple their capacity, with new tanks and state of the art equipment to help them ramp up their beer production.

The brewery is finishing up a couple of projects inside and is expected to open the Warsaw location in two weeks.
