A Noble County housing development is getting a government grant.. Laverna Terrace Housing in Avilla is one of two Indiana development to share in a $5.4 million grant. Laverna has been awarded $3 million dollars to create about 30 units to help residents who are unable to perform daily activities. Another Indianapolis community was also selected. A total of 17 million dollars in grants were awarded in six states.
