Indiana Ranks 16th Highest In The Nation For Student Loan Debt

A new report that ranks Indiana's college student debt as the nation's 16th-highest says the state's 2013 graduates were saddled with an average student loan debt of more than $28,000. The report from The Project on Student Debt also found that more than 60 percent of grads that year left school with debt, giving the state the 21st-highest such percentage in the nation. The report shows that Indiana's average college student debt of $28,500 was slightly higher than the national average for graduates with bachelor's degrees.
