Indiana State Police announce results of Prescription Drug Take Back Day

The results of the 15th Prescription Drug Take Back Day are in.

The Indiana State Police say, in total, over 1,700 pounds of unused or expired medication was collected on April 28.

The “Take Back” initiative seeks to prevent prescription drug abuse and theft. There were collection sites at each Indiana State Police post.

Indianapolis collected 150 pounds of medications. The Bremen post, which serves Kosciusko County, collected only 2 pounds.
