Indiana’s First Flu Death Of Season Reported

The Indiana State Department of Health is reporting the state's first flu death of the season. Health officials say the individual was over 65 years old and was not vaccinated. This year is expected to be a severe flu season. Last week, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that H3N2 flu viruses have been the most common so far this flu season. Historically, during seasons where those are dominant, more hospitalizations and deaths have been reported.
