July’s First Friday Features A ‘Hometown Picnic’

Main Street Warsaw is excited to host a Hometown Picnic during First Friday on July 1 in downtown Warsaw with Kensington Digital Media.

Hot dogs, lemonade, watermelon, popsicles and crackerjacks will be available for a donation to Big Brothers Big Sisters. Additional food options include Crooked Barn BBQ food truck, ice cream and local downtown restaurants. Live music by the Backwater Band will be featured on the iconic red, white and blue Grote Automotive semi-truck stage, according to a news release from Main Street Warsaw.

Pickleball courts will be set up in the City Hall parking lot with demonstrations by the Pickleball Phanatics. Those who would like to play pickleball will need to bring a paddle.

July First Friday will also feature service vehicles including fire trucks, police cars, armored cars, heavy machinery and more. Cornhole boards will be set up for those who would like to play.

Well-known local residents will be in a dunk tank collecting donations for Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and wear red, white and blue. There will be a prize for the most patriotic attendee.
