Kasich to hold town hall in suburban Indianapolis Tuesday

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (AP): Republican presidential candidate John Kasich will hold a town hall meeting in suburban Indianapolis next Tuesday.

The Ohio governor’s campaign website announced details of the meeting Thursday. It begins at 11 a.m. at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds in Noblesville. Doors will open at 10 a.m.

His visit will follow Indiana appearances by GOP foes Donald Trump on Wednesday and Ted Cruz on Thursday. Trump held a rally at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis and Cruz set appearances at an Indianapolis restaurant and an Indiana GOP fundraising dinner.

Kasich announced an Indiana campaign leadership team Wednesday that includes former U.S. Rep. Dan Burton, former Lt. Gov. John Mutz and mayors Lloyd Winnecke of Evansville and Jim Brainard of Carmel.

Kasich is also opening campaign offices in Fishers and Jeffersonville, but not in Fort Wayne. He’s the only candidate to not have a Fort Wayne office.
