KCH Patient Arrested After Striking Employee


A Kosciusko Community Hospital patient was arrested after allegedly striking a hospital employee in the face Aug. 13.
Bernie Montileaux, 35, of 316 W. Winona Ave., Warsaw was arrested Monday for refusing to submit to a chemical test and battery. 
According to the probable cause affidavit provided by Kosciusko County prosecutors, the victim was taking care of Montileaux when he hit her. The victim told police that while Montileaux was in the hospital, he attempted to remove his IV and get out of is bed. When the victim tried to console him and assist him back into the bed, Montileaux became angry and struck her in the face. 
Another KCH employee witnessed the event and told police that Montileaux bolted for the door and hit the victim when she attempted to escort him back to his room. 
Montileaux was booked into Kosciusko County Jail with a $10,950 bond.
