LaDonna was born on August 27, 1950 in Peru, Indiana to the late Ray and Margie (Burnworth) Meyer. She was a 1968 graduate of Wabash High School. She married on July 16, 1999 in rural Claypool, Ind. to Billy J. Thompson, who preceded her in death on February 10, 2023.
LaDonna worked for WRSW for 47 years, retiring in 2021. She also worked as a clerk for Metzger Auctions. She enjoyed working in her garden, tending to her flowers.
She is survived by her son Shawn and wife Sharon O’Dell of Danville, KY; grandson Gage O’Dell; granddaughter Cassie and husband Jake Bieszczak; great granddaughter Hallie; sister Lori and husband Jess James of Roann; brother Kris Meyer of Lawrenceville, Georgia; and sister-in-laws Peg Bailey of Bloomington and Betty Thompson of Mentone.
LaDonna was preceded in death by her parents, husband Billy, in-laws Earl and Ruby Thompson, and brother-in-law Duane Thompson.
Following her request, no services will be held. A private interment will take place in the Palestine Cemetery, Palestine, Indiana.
The arrangements have been entrusted to King Memorial Home 101 North Tucker Street Mentone, Indiana.
