WARSAW — A Marshall County man is facing several charges after police say his 6-year-old child tested positive for methamphetamine.

Authorities were alerted to the case by the Indiana Department of Child Services a week ago. Police visited the home on 14th Road and discovered suspected methamphetamine in marijuana after securing a search warrant.

The child’s father, 44-year-old Steven Nissley, is facing charges of neglect of a dependent, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of marijuana.

No details on the child’s condition were released.

The father was being held on a $10,000 bond in the Marshall County Jail.
