Latest U.S. Census data shows Kosciusko County population grew 0.4% from 2017 to 2018

Kosciusko County’s population increase in 2018 fell short of the state mark. That’s according to U.S. Census Bureau data reported on by the Journal Gazette.

Kosciusko came in with a population of 79,344, which was up 0.4% from 2017.

LaGrange and Noble Counties also came in under the statewide average for growth, which was 0.5%. Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Wells, and Whitley all grew between 0.6% and 0.9% in 2018.

Every county in northeast Indiana reported more births than deaths.

The state’s population on a whole has gone up by 3.2 percent since the 2010 census.
