LGBT Considerations Debate in Goshen

In the wake of the passage of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, some Indiana communities have changed or proposed ordinances to protect the L.G.B.T. community.

Goshen Mayor Allan Kauffman proposed revisiting the idea during a council meeting lat month and the Goshen City Council has mixed feelings. It’s not the first time Goshen has considered adding L.G.B.T. protections to its city code. It was first considered in 2009, but city council members voted against passing the amendment. The Elkhart Truth reports this time around, council members seem to agree on one thing: There is a need for further discussion.
