Lonnie “Lon” Dean Witham

Lonnie “Lon” Dean Witham of Warsaw, Indiana passed away at Miller’s Merry Manor of Warsaw at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at the age of 72.  Lon passed away from complications after suffering from a stroke.

He was born on March 25, 1949 in Warsaw, Indiana to Violet Maretta (Friesner) Witham and Harry Dean Witham.  On December 11, 1971 he married the love of his life, Deborah “Deb” Lee Eby.  They shared the joy of raising two daughters, becoming grandparents and creating so many memories throughout their 49 years of marriage together before he passed away.

Lon was a 1967 graduate of Triton High School in Bourbon, Indiana and has lived in Warsaw for the past 30 years.  Most of his life he worked in the orthopedic industry, he retired from working in regulatory affairs for Zimmer Biomet in Warsaw.  Lon loved to entertain, he got a kick out of peoples reactions when they found out he was an Elvis impersonator.  He was part of the Dueling Elvis’s and another performing group called The Classics.  He especially enjoyed his grandchildren, and was a loving husband, father and brother.  Lon will be forever loved and missed. 

He will be lovingly remembered by his two daughters:  Lisa (Andy) Scott (Leesburg, Indiana); Tanya Helser (Warsaw, Indiana); eleven grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.  He also leaves behind his five sisters:  Deborah (Steve) Charleston (Arizona); Vicki (Jerry) Yates (Mississippi); Lori Stine (Texas); Kate Stine (Warsaw, Indiana); and Betsy (Terry) Charleston (Texas).  He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, John Stine and his daughter, Leslie Witham on December 15, 2020.           

Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.  Lon’s life will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home and officiated by Larry Ross.  A graveside service will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bourbon, Indiana.
