Man chooses bench trial in Goshen double murder case

ELKHART COUNTY (WNDU) – A judge will decide the fate a man accused of killing two men in Goshen, that’s according to our reporting partners at Goshen News.

Diego Ramos faces two counts of murder.

He has chosen to have a bench trial, therefore waiving his right for a jury trial which was set for November 14.

In the early morning hours of March 13, Jose Nava and Marco Carmona-Gonzales were shot to death inside a home in Goshen’s Brookside Manor neighborhood.

Days later police arrested Ramos and a second man, Luis Rivas.

Rivas pleaded guilty to assisting a criminal and was sentenced to 12 years in prison in August.
