Man sells IPad belonging to Warsaw schools, ends up in jail

I’m A Warsaw man was arrested early Monday morning on felony theft charges, for allegedly trying to sell an IPad that is property of Warsaw Community Schools.

An employee of McDonald’s contacted the Warsaw City Police Department in late September regarding the purchase of an IPad he made from another individual.  He advised on September 22 he was at McDonald’s in Warsaw when a man identified as Allan Fry, 26, of Warsaw, approached him and said he needed some money and wanted to sell his ipad for $45.

The man bought the IPad and when he took it home and attempted to factory reset the device, he discovered the IPad belonged to Warsaw Community Schools and was registered to another individual.

Police spoke with Frye who advised a friend gave him the IPad, but he refused to say who. Frye was previously convicted on a theft charge from July 2014. He is being held on a $5,000 bond.
