Middlebury Man Pleads Guilty To Child Molesting

A Middlebury man accused of molesting three male relatives has pleaded guilty to one of his charges. 20-year-old Tyler McIntire-Congemi entered the plea with the agreement that a second child molesting charge would be dropped. The investigation started in July when Middlebury police and the sheriff’s deputies were called to McIntire-Congemi’s home when he said he had intentions to harm himself, because he felt guilty. He admitted to detectives that he performed sex acts on three male relatives who were minors. The Elkhart Truth reports McIntire-Congemi could receive a sentence of up to 12 years, but only six years of those years would be in prison. His next court hearing is set for late September.
