Milford Man, 37, Faces Two Felony Child Molesting Charges

A Milford man was arrested Thursday on two felony counts of child molesting.

Lars E. Gustafson, 37, of 107 N. West St., Milford, was arrested at 1:58 p.m. Thursday for child molesting, a level 1 felony, and vicarious gratification, a level 4 felony.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Milford Police officer Derek Kreider responded to a call about a possible child molestation and the victim was at Kosciusko Community Hospital.

The victim’s mother advised she had found a sex toy in the victim’s bedroom. When the mother asked the victim about it, the victim stated Gustafson had sexual intercourse with her.

According to court documents, the victim was under the age of 14.

The victim was then interviewed by Fort Wayne Sexual Assault Treatment Center and the victim described the conduct between her and Gustafson that had been going on twice a week for six years. According to the affidavit, the victim also said Gustafson pleasured himself in front of her.

Gustafson went to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday and spoke to Detective Joshua Spangle. Gustafson said he would coach the victim on how to pleasure herself and he had sex with her, according to court documents.

Gustafson was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail, where he was still incarcerated as of Monday. His bond was set at $50,250.

A no contact was order was requested between the victim and Gustafson.
