Milo Raymond Shriver

Milo Raymond Shriver, age 85 of Akron, died on July 22, 2022 at his
residence at 3:49 p.m.
He was born on November 30, 1936 to Chester and Ester (Swears) Shriver
in (rural Akron) Fulton County, Indiana and lived all of his life in the Akron
area. He graduated from Akron High School in 1956.

Milo served in the Army (Ready Reserve) for two years (1954-1956) and
then enlisted in the Marine Corps, serving as Corporal for three years
(1959-1962).

Milo married Saraetta (DeWitt) Shriver and started to raise his family in
Akron. He was a truck driver for Veal Cattle Transportation and Hartzler
Trucking Company. When he retired, he had driven over four million miles.
Being a very private man, Milo was always busy tinkering around and fixing
things.

Surviving Milo is his companion: Loletta Stroud of Akron; (2) daughters:
Betsy (spouse Dan) Ashby of Akron; Debbie (spouse Richard) Kelly of
Argos; (1) son: Darrell (spouse Kristin) Shriver of Akron; (1) brother: Jack
(spouse Norma) Shriver of Silver Lake; (2) sisters: Cheryl (spouse Fred)
Shepherd of Rochester and Barbara Coppock of Indianapolis; (10)
grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Preceding Milo in death are his parents; wife Saraetta (1991); (2)
grandchildren: John Thomas and Nikki Shriver; (6) brothers: William Lee,
Melvan Lee, John James, Lewis, Harry Dale and James Dean (all) Shriver;
(4) sisters: Mary Jane Cotterman, Beulah Engle, Virginia Davis and Loretta
Summers.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at the Earl-Love Funeral
Home, 811 E. Rochester St., Akron, Indiana from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
Immediately following the visitation, the service will begin.

The internment will take place at the Akron IOOF Cemetery with graveside
military rites performed by the Fulton County Honor Guard.

The Staff of Earl-Love Funeral Home considers it a privilege and an honor
