Motorcyclist, 24, dies in accident

NAPPANEE — An Argos man was killed Sunday night in a motorcycle accident.

The driver of the motorcycle, Colton O. Brock, 24, of Argos, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office as a result of his injuries suffered in the crash, according to a news release from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office.

KCSO deputies and emergency personnel responded Sunday at 8:05 p.m. to a single-motorcycle crash on North SR 19, north of West Ind. 10, in Kosciusko County.

Emergency personnel arrived on scene and found the motorcycle, the release said.

Preliminary investigation determined a 1995 Suzuki motorcycle was southbound on Ind. 19, just north of West Ind. 10, and for an unknown reason left the roadway on the westside. The motorcycle went into a ditch, continued down the ditch, struck and embankment of a driveway at 1671 North SR 19.

The driver of the motorcycle was thrown from the motorcycle, the release said.

Police were assisted at the scene by Kosciusko County Coroner’ Office, Etna Green Fire Department, Mentone Fire and EMS, Silver Lake Police Department, Kosciusko County Central Dispatch and Reicherts & Knepp Wrecker Service.

The crash remains under investigation by the Kosciusko County FACT team.
