The driver of a motorcycle was taken to a Fort Wayne hospital by ambulance after a car allegedly hit him head on around 7 p.m. Sunday on Pierceton Road near CR 600E, Winona Lake. Witness Christian Engel, 23, Pierceton, said he was traveling west on Pierceton Road behind the motorcycle when a car traveling east crossed the double yellow lines to pass another car and hit the motorcycle straight on.
“He probably wouldn’t have stopped if he didn’t have a flat tire,” Engel said of the driver of the car that struck the motorcycle. No further information from Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office was available by press time.
