Nappanee women accused of using fake coupons to buy $100K of fake merchandise and resell it

Two Nappanee women are facing charges after an alleged racketeering scheme.

41-year-old Wendy Skwarcan-Stoll and her daughter 18-year-old Alexis McCartney are accused of counterfeiting coupons to obtain clothes from Victoria’s Secret stores.

The two then allegedly sold the apparel on a Facebook group called Pink Ladies Closet.

Court documents say security for a store in Racine, Wisconsin called Nappanee Police this month after finding spoofed coupons that were connected to a credit card used by Skwarcan-Stoll.

Using the fake coupons, the two are accused of buying over $100,000 in merchandise in Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Those purchases spanned a time frame of about a year.

Skwarcan-Stoll and McCartney are scheduled for an initial hearing on Friday. they face felony charges for corrupt business influence and forgery.
