Officials digging backyard of Granger home accused killer lived in

Officers were seen digging in the backyard of a Granger home Thursday.

The home used to be owned by a man named Matthew Lynn. It was sold in May, but murder suspect Daniel Lynn used to live there.

He’s being held in a northern Minnesota jail, accused of murdering Christina Woods of South Bend and burying her body on family property in St. Louis County, Minnesota.

Officers obtained a search warrant for the dig and confirmed that it’s related to Daniel Lynn. Police tell WNDU they had good reason to search the property, but they haven’t released any other information.

Archaeology students from IUSB assisted in the search.
