Over 100 Flu Deaths Recorded In Indiana This Season

More than 100 people have died from flu-related illnesses in Indiana this season. The Indiana State Department of Health's latest flu report shows the specific number at 108 as of Friday. That's an increase of 11 from the previous week. Ten of the 11 most recent deaths occurred in people ages 65 and older. Marion County has had the most flu deaths, with 13. Allen County has had 11 deaths and Lake County has reported 10. Deaths also have been reported in St. Joseph, Kosciusko, Tippecanoe and Hamilton counties.
