The Owen’s store in Warsaw is transitioning to Kroger.

Sign crews were busy on Tuesday afternoon changing the large lighted sign on the front of the building to the Kroger branding. New signs will be posted along Center Street at the entrance and at the gas station.

Regional Media Spokesperson for Kroger, Eric Halvorson, said changes for customers will be very minimal. Two changes include online, where shoppers will now go to Kroger.com, instead of owensmarket.com. If you have been using the Owen’s app on your smartphone, you will need to switch over to the Kroger app.

Owen’s Plus cards will continue to work and do not need to be changed. No staffing changes are happening with the transition either. Kroger has been in Indiana since the 1920s and added Owen’s to their family of stores in the summer of 1998.
