Parkview Warsaw will be expanding into a full-service hospital over the next couple of years with places to include space for up to 30 inpatient beds, surgical services and additional specialty care.

Parkview Health officials made the announcement on Wednesday. With the growth of Parkview in Warsaw, along with the surrounding community, the hospital wants to expand to better serve the entire county.

“As Parkview continues to grow in Kosciusko County, we look forward to embracing the community as a full-service hospital that offers comprehensive care,” said Jeffrey Rockett, vice president, outpatient services, Parkview Warsaw. “Building on the success of Parkview Warsaw, Parkview Kosciusko Hospital will increase access to high-quality care and reduce the need for residents to travel outside the county to see a Parkview provider.”

The project will be completed in phases, starting with the build-out of existing shell space on the third floor of the facility. Plans also call for a 44,000-square-foot expansion on the west side of the facility, and a new medical office building on the campus.

Groundbreaking is tentatively set for the spring of 2020, with all services projected to be available in 2022. Plans are subject to approval by the city of Warsaw.
