Percent of positive cases continues decline in state as county tops 100 cases

The percent of positive cases continued its decline in the Thursday update from the Indiana State Department of Health, which also showed Kosciusko County surpassing 100 positive cases.

The state dashboard shows Kosciusko County with 101 cases, an increase of two from Wednesday. 1,613 tests have been completed, reflecting 6.3 percent of cases to be positive in the county.

ON THE STATE LEVEL

646 more positive cases were reported with 37 additional deaths according to the newest data from the ISDH. Indiana has now had 33,068 positive cases and 1,907 deaths.

7,112 new tests were included in the Thursday update and 242,287 tests have now been done. The percent of positive cases in Indiana is now 13.6 percent, down 0.2 percent from Wednesday.

Data also showed that the amount of ventilators and ICU beds have slightly increased. There are 82.1 percent ventilators available along with 39.2 percent of ICU beds. Of those being used for COVID-19 related purposes, 16.2 percent of ICU beds are occupied and 5.7 percent of ventilators are being used.
