Two people were arrested following a pursuit that started in Miami County on Tuesday night and ended near Plymouth.
Indiana State Police say a trooper was monitoring traffic along US 31 near Grissom Air Force Base, when he attempted to make a stop on a car travelling 95 miles per hour in a 60 zone. The driver, 19-year old Shacarla Williams of Virginia Beach, Virginia then took off and led police on a 23 minute pursuit.
The pursuit came to an end after Williams hit two sets of stop sticks along 31 near the US 30 interchange. Williams was arrested and charged with resisting law enforcement and reckless driving. The passenger, 22-year old Dante Bishop of South Bend, was also arrested on an active warrant out of LaPorte County for larceny. Williams was taken to the Miami County Jail, Bishop to the LaPorte County Jail.
