Police Release More Details On Brandon Woody’s Arrest

Syracuse Police Chief Anthony Ciriello has advised that murder suspect Brandon Thomas Woody, 22, was taken into custody by law enforcement officials Thursday afternoon without incident.
Information provided by citizens throughout the community was channeled to officers that eventually led them to St. Joseph County.  Undercover officers with the Indiana State Police and the Kosciusko County Drug Task Force observed Woody at a gas station in the city of Mishawaka shortly after 2 p.m., and subsequently took him into custody at gunpoint.  Woody was then transported by ISP and Kosciusko County officers back to Warsaw.
Woody is currently being held in the Kosciusko County Jail without bond on preliminary charges of felony murder and attempted murder.
The Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office advises that the defendant’s charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
