The driver in a car chase with Warsaw police early this morning remains at large.
A vehicle driven by Travis Johnson, 39, North Sherman Street, Warsaw, was fleeing from law enforcement in Warsaw. According to an accident report from Warsaw Police Department, Johnson was travelling west down an alley between East Main Street and East Fort Wayne Street. The vehicle left the road and hit a utility pole behind 222 N. Fort Wayne Ave.
The rear axle was damaged during the collision and the vehicle then stopped. Two passengers of the vehicle were taken into custody, though no charges have been filed. Johnson fled from the scene on foot and WPD has not been able to locate him.
