Over one hundred people stood outside of Lincoln School Monday night for a prayer gathering.

The event was organized after the non-profit group, Northern Indiana Atheists, sent a letter to Warsaw Community Schools alleging that two teachers read stories before Christmas to their class about the birth of Jesus Christ, while a third showed a cartoon of the same subject.

Monday night’s gathering including prayer by several different pastors representing area churches. Those in attendance held glow sticks, while others had flashlights. Organizers mentioned that the gathering was to show their support of the teachers and pray over the school, its staff, the district and the community.
