Purdue University Bans Hard Liquor

Things are drying up a little on the campus of Purdue University. It might be a little tougher to order a Boilermaker now at Purdue. Tuesday, the Interfraternity Council voted to ban hard liquor. The council is the governing body for 42 fraternities at the school. This new policy expands on a previous ban, forbidding all beverages with 15 percent alcohol content on fraternity property. First-time violations could result in 16 weeks of social probation, a thousand dollar fine, and mandatory education programming. The Council President says that the policy is designed to “…keep our community and its guests safe.”
