Resurfacing work to begin Monday on U.S. 30

The Indiana Department of Transportation announces that U.S. 30 in Kosciusko and Whitley counties is scheduled to be resurfaced on or after Monday, April 16, weather permitting.

The resurface work will take place between C.R. S 425 W in Kosciusko County and C.R. N 650 W in Whitley County through the towns of Larwill and Pierceton.

During the day, drivers are cautioned to watch for lane restrictions and possible stopped vehicles in the construction zone. INDOT reminds drivers to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through any active work zone. A speed limit of 45 mph will be in effect when workers are present and will be strictly enforced.

The project was awarded to INDOT contractor Brooks Construction for $6.1 million and includes the asphalt resurface of S.R. 114 in Wabash County later this year. Work on U.S. 30 is expected to be completed in early September, weather permitting.
