WARSAW — When the Center Lake Pavilion reopens –- tentatively set for August after renovations are complete — it will have new opportunities for meeting space and a new name.

Renovations are on schedule, according to Warsaw Parks Superintendent Larry Plummer.

Much of the cost of the renovation project is being offset by a $2.5 million donation from Zimmer Biomet.

That support will be reflected in its new name – Zimmer Biomet Center Lake Pavilion.

The new name will be lit up on the front of the building with a sign using hallo LED lighting.

The sign will stretch across the front of the building, which faces Zimmer Biomet’s world headquarters to the south.

Plummer says the updates will be extensive and offer two areas for rental space.

“The concept is to have a main large room rental and a conference room — those can be simultaneously … or we can lift the door and have one big rental of the whole facility,” Plummer said.

Plummer discussed the updates Tuesday at the park board meeting.

The board is currently considering new rental rates for the facility.
